- GSD
- Global Species Database: A term coined by Species 2000 to describe an authoritative taxon-based database covering an entire higher taxon and able to deliver basic structured information about a species in response to a suitable request, especially using the protocols defined by Species 2000.
- IGC
- Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Oeiras, Portugal
- ILDIS
- International Legume Database and Information System (or Service): A GSD covering the plant family Leguminosae (Fabaceae) and run by an international collaboration of legume scientists.
